In order to move the ball, we need to incorporate creative thinking and behaviour to best accomplish our goals and objectives. There is no doubt that the creative arts in any capacity ignite creative thinking which should be both encouraged as well as adopted in this fast moving business world. While repetitive behaviour may be deemed comfortable, it is not an option in moving towards new opportunities and meeting exciting and impactful goals and objectives.

In my almost four years building an innovation and technology organization, this became blindingly clear to me as the missing ingredient in far too many organizations and cultures. Admittedly, I have the right brain/left brain thing happening- having skipped 3 times and doing business and design studies simultaneously, I clearly believe in the benefits of creativity being encouraged and promoted. How can you commit to developing this culture for your organization?

There are many new support services, programs and the recognized need for funding currently taking place in Canada. My past real life Executive business experience and network, along with the expanded networks formulated in my almost four years building a Regional Innovation Centre in Ontario, introduced me not only to the current challenges but the opportunities as well.

I will be updating those opportunities, advisory availability and introduction of networks over the next while.
